LIFE SOURCE is an exploration of water as a life-giving source. Water is portrayed as the nucleotides that link together to create DNA, the building blocks required for us to exist, gradually morphing into into diamonds. Portraying both natural resources in one image brings to light the ironic juxtaposition in the treatment of each resource under capitalism; one often being collateral damage and the other being so highly coveted that other resources are destroyed to obtain it. DALLE-2 was used to create the original image and a combination of inpainting and outpainting was used to further expand and refine the original prompt.
